<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;">It's official! The biggest movie of the year so far is now making its way to the small screen, despite producers recently claiming that a </span><em style="color: inherit; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;"><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</strong></em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;"> </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;">series was only a rumor. Marvel's Head of Television Jeff Loeb made the announcement at New York Comic Con this week, stating that "</span><em style="color: inherit; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;">E</em><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"><em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">veryone wants more of Star-Lord and his crew – now they’ll get it</em>.” </span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">While this is only basic test footage, it's hard to deny that the animation itself is extremely impressive. The backgrounds alone are incredibly detailed, evoking the epic tone of the film and the anime inspired style gives the animation a slick, modern look that should appeal to viewers both young and old.</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fan favorites Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon are the only characters featured in the test footage, but they've survived the transition from the big screen to animation seamlessly, perhaps due in part to their comic book origins. It's obvious to anyone who's actually seen <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</em> that neither Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper voiced their characters in the clip and sadly, it's unlikely that they will reprise their roles for the series as both are huge stars in their own right. However, another Disney XD series called <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Star Wars Rebels</em> used some of the live action performers for voice roles, so it's not completely unheard of.</span></div>
<div data-mce-style="color: #333333; font-style: normal; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;" style="color: #333333; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Marvel fans will have to wait until 2015 to catch the <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</em> on Disney XD, but in the meantime, take a look at the test footage below to catch a glimpse of what lies in store for the intergalactic team.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">Back in the 1990's, Marvel ruled over the world of comic book animation with the cult success of the <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">X-Men</em> and <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Spider-Man</em> series, but in recent years, the quality of their cartoons has decreased in direct proportion with the popularity of their feature film output. This raises three very important questions. First, will <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</em> match the high standard set by DC animation? Second, will the series become too child-centric or will the producers try to appeal to adults as well? And most importantly, will the <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</em> animation capture the irreverent tone of the live action film? </span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">

<img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught readers how to stay awake for late night movies. If you invested in the kind of eye clamps seen in A Clockwork Orange, your eyes will now be dryer than the Sahara Desert and you probably lost your sight around three days ago. That's ok though. Just ask your children or a friend to read Manilovefilms.com to you from now on. It will be like the audio book version, but instead of hearing someone famous and talented speak our words, you'll just have to endure the dulcet tones of someone you already know.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's unfortunate that you're now blind, as you'll no longer be able to appreciate the beauty of animation from production companies like Disney, but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't enjoy these timeless classics, so grab a paintbrush, put on a cartoon voice and grab a camera as we read on for today's lesson.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/disneysleepingbeauty.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/disneysleepingbeauty.jpg"><img alt="disneysleepingbeauty" class="alignleft wp-image-27414 size-full" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/disneysleepingbeauty.jpg" height="162" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/disneysleepingbeauty.jpg" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a>Lesson #37 - How To Make A Disney Movie</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">First off, you need some inspiration/an idea to steal. Those millions won't just make themselves, you know!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Brothers Grimm</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On the rare occasions when Disney have actually written original material, the results have been less than stellar... hello Home On The Range! It's understandable then that the majority of directors look elsewhere for ideas first. To make a Disney movie, one must plunge into the depths of classic fairy tales for inspiration. The original Brothers Grimm stories were gruesome affairs where characters were often treated horribly, abused and maimed beyond recognition... and that's exactly what Disney does to these classic tales. To make a Disney movie, we need to choose a fairy tale and basically take out all the dark, gross bits, replacing them with cute, fluffy songs instead. Goodbye blood and sexual assault. Hello Jamaican crab!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Mutant Hero</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If we're going to mutate the original story into something new, we might as well do the same to our female protagonist. Why give a Disney princess realistic body proportions and average looks when we can create a physically deformed mutant who has tiny hips and huge breasts? </span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cinderella1.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cinderella1.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img alt="cinderella1" class="alignright wp-image-32462 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cinderella1-300x224.jpg" height="149" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cinderella1-300x224.jpg" style="float: right;" width="200" /></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's important to also give our bizarre creation superhuman vocal chords that can hypnotize small animals into carrying out her every childish whim... because that's a thing apparently. You think Cinderella had it bad? Her step-sisters may have forced her to clean for them, but all Cinderella did was perpetuate the problem, delegating her menial tasks to the poor mice and birds who were manipulated to clean against their will. Now who's the real monster here?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Two Birds, One Stone</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The final ingredient every successful Disney movie needs is a truly evil villain. Ursula, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil... each of these have terrified countless generations of children, haunting their dreams with their scary appearances and offensive stereotyping... wait, what? Let's face it. Disney has not been the most racially sensitive company in the past, often using caricatured stereotypes in their portrayal of villains such as the hyenas in The Lion King and the evil Arabs in Aladdin. </span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Why stop there though? If you're going to follow the Disney pattern, you might as well make your villains overtly camp as well, just like Hades, Scar or Jafar. Why offend one minority when you can offend two at once? Walt Disney would be proud... and he'll tell you himself when he eventually escapes his cryogenic prison and takes over the world with his unparalleled imagination and anti-Semitic rants.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<img alt="Jafar Aladdin" class="alignleft wp-image-32463 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Jafar-Aladdin-300x168.png" height="112" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Jafar-Aladdin-300x168.png" style="float: left;" width="200" /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Oh, one more thing! End your Disney movie by telling the children that true love conquers all i.e lie to the kids, setting them up for a lifetime of misery and a sense of betrayal that will never leave them, not even throughout their adult lives. That's the Disney magic, right there!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Good luck with your venture loyal readers and remember: any proceeds you make from the success of your Disney movie belongs to me. You technically signed a verbal contract just by reading this article, entitling me to 100% of your earnings... and possibly your house. Woops!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Finally, this will be the last Film School Friday written for a while as no one has bothered to invent a watch that can stop time yet, making day to day life extremely difficult to juggle. Thank you to everyone who has regularly returned to the site to read this feature i.e. Mum. Your loyalty is greatly appreciated. Remember to keep checking back though for more news on the latest films! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After years of sub-par film roles, <strong style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Al Pacino</strong> is finally ready for a comeback worthy of his talents. Performances in David Gordon Green's <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Manglehorn</em> and the comedy <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Imagine</em> are gaining lots of buzz for the legendary actor, but one of the most promising films on Pacino's upcoming slate looks set to be <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;"><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">The Humbling</strong></em>.</span></div>

<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Directed by Barry Levinson (<em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Rain Man</em>), <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">The Humbling</em> stars Pacino as an ageing Broadway star who has a romantic affair with a younger lesbian (Greta Garwig). Parallels between the character and his own life make this an intriguing prospect for Pacino, who's clearly invested a lot into the project after personally buying the rights himself.</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.7999992370605px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">

While reviews from the Venice Film Festival have been mixed so far, the promo is hilarious from start to finish and this looks like it could be Pacino's best performance since he starred in Christopher Nolan's drama <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Insomnia</em> way back in 2002.</span></span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to choose cinema snacks. If you currently have a strange swelling in your stomach that moves when you touch it, there's a strong chance the dried squid you ate in that Korean cinema contained squid eggs that are now hatching inside of you. If that's true, then I really appreciate that you've chosen to ignore your family and loved ones to instead spend your last few moments on earth reading my writing. I genuinely can't think of a better way to end it all.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For those of you not infested by the calamari from hell, summer is winding down and autumn is fast approaching... it's enough to make you sick, isn't it!? If only we could delay the inevitable and make summer last forever. Wait! We can do exactly that, all thanks to the power of cinema. All we need to do is stay awake all night, watching movies until the sun comes up. Ok, that admittedly won't make summer last forever, but it will certainly make it last longer, so close the curtains, heat up the popcorn and tape your eyes open as we read on for today's lesson.</span><br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/pulp-fiction-mia-needle1.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/pulp-fiction-mia-needle1.jpg"><img alt="pulp-fiction-mia-needle1" class="alignleft wp-image-32298 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/pulp-fiction-mia-needle1-300x193.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/pulp-fiction-mia-needle1-300x193.jpg" height="128" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a>Lesson #36 - How To Stay Awake For Late Night Movies</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We've all been there; fighting to stay awake and keep up with the plot of a movie as our eyelids slowly droop until... argh shit! I just missed the last 20 minutes of Guardians of the Galaxy and now I have no idea why Groot has become a dancing baby tree thing!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So how do we go about this then? Not all of us can have crippling insomnia like that lucky insomniac bastard in the Christoper Nolan film called.. errr... I should know this!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">System Shock</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The most obvious route to go here is to binge on as many coffees and energy drinks as you can before your bladder explodes completely. At the risk of instantly dating this article, I would suggest that you could also attempt the ALS ice bucket challenge every ten minutes or so while watching a film in order to stay awake, but... no. Just no. Let's get more creative than that.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In Pulp Fiction, John Travolta's character Vincent uses an adrenaline shot to jolt Mia back into consciousness after she has an overdose. The procedure sounds fairly safe overall, although the needle has to pierce the breastbone before it can be directly injected into the heart. That's kind of hard to do to yourself in a sitting down position, so it's best you ask a buddy to do the stabbing for you. And don't forget to take the needle out in the end or that could get really awkward... Sure does help with those longer art house movies though!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/simpsons-seizure-robots.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/simpsons-seizure-robots.jpg"><img alt="simpsons-seizure-robots" class="alignright wp-image-32299" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/simpsons-seizure-robots-300x225.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/simpsons-seizure-robots-300x225.jpg" height="150" style="float: right;" width="200" /></a>Live Life To The Max!</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If cardiac arrest isn't your thing, try turning up the volume of your surround sound to the 'are you nuts?!' setting. In <span data-mce-style="color: #444444;" style="color: #444444;">the video for Michael Jackson’s </span><em data-mce-style="color: #444444;" style="color: #444444;">Black or White</em><span data-mce-style="color: #444444;" style="color: #444444;">, Macaulay Culkin did the same thing and actor George Wendt ending up flying out of the room, so I'm sure that will keep you awake through even the most boring movies late into the night. If you're still unsure though, try turning the brightness setting up to the max as well. Be careful though. Most anime and all Wes Anderson films are guaranteed to give you seizures at the highest brightness setting , but at least you'll stay awake until the end of the movie, right?</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span data-mce-style="color: #444444;" style="color: #444444;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Garlic-Free Diet</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The final piece of advice I can bestow on those wishing to stay up all night watching movies is simply to become a vampire. Sleeping all day guarantees that you'll be wide eyed and bushy tailed by midnight, ready to binge on Netflix to your hearts content. Sure, you're technically dead and walking into sunlight will burn/make you sparkle like a weirdo, but then you'll finally be able to catch up on all those classic movies you never had time for! Just watch out though. If you meet a bland empty husk of a girl who appears smitten with you and wants to be a vampire too, run away as fast as you can. You'll be stuck with the bitch for eternity.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/clockwork-orange-clamps.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/clockwork-orange-clamps.jpg"><img alt="clockwork orange clamps" class="alignleft wp-image-32300 size-full" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/clockwork-orange-clamps.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/clockwork-orange-clamps.jpg" height="120" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a>If all of these options seem somewhat extreme to you, then the key thing you need to remember is just to pick a good film that is sufficiently action packed enough to keep your brain awake. The four hour long historical drama Russian Ark is a good example of what to avoid. Michael Bay's Transformers franchise is ideal... to avoid as well, but that's more to do with the fact that they're shockingly bad films more than anything else. Not even Clockwork Orange style eye clamps will help you out there.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for reading loyal readers (hey Mum!) and remember to come back in two weeks for another edition of Film School Friday, where I will try my utmost to numb your brains with whatever mindless drivel I can come up with in the interim.</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span data-mce-style="color: #000000;" style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to make the most of their summer vacation. The key lesson here was to avoid death, as everyone knows that summer is full of scary sharks and angry rednecks. Personally, I find that the best way to stay alive during these terrifying months is to spend every waking hour in a dark room, watching moving pictures with strangers. In other words, living life to the fullest! </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span data-mce-style="color: #000000;" style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The problem with living in a cinema though is that you need to maintain a balanced diet to make up for the lack of sunlight and endless hours of sitting. Your body can only take so much punishment! Luckily for you guys, I studied for years as a food connoisseur i.e. gluttonous pig, so I'm more than equipped to plan out a cinema based diet for you all. I'm like a qualified nutritionist, but without the qualifications or general knowledge required to carry out the job effectively. With that said, let's count out the money, scan the food counter and loosen our belts as we prepare for today's lesson. </span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #35 - How To Choose Cinema Snacks</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Let's face it. Visiting the cinema is all about indulgence. It's a time to stop worrying about calories and stuff your face with crap. That's half the fun, right?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Seat Renovation</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hot dogs, sweets, nachos... every cinema seems designed to increase obesity statistics worldwide. Remember when they used to bring ice cream directly to your seats? You didn't even have to bother wasting calories getting up to browse their selection! Even popcorn is deceptive. Such a light and airy food substance must be healthy for you, right? If by healthy you mean it contains more butter than a herd of cows churned up in a tornado, then yes, popcorn is extremely good for you.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Cinema-Snacks.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Cinema-Snacks.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Cinema-Snacks" class="alignright wp-image-32163 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Cinema-Snacks-300x224.jpg" height="149" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Cinema-Snacks-300x224.jpg" style="float: right;" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Independent cinemas may appear classier with their fine array of teas, cake and alcohol, but they're still leading you down the same dark path... DIABETUS! (you can thank Wilford Brimley for that misspelling). If you're going to devour the fatty goodness of basic cinema food, then join me in starting a petition to enlarge the size of the seats and if even <em>that</em> sounds like too much effort for your lardy ass, just buy two seats at once, drape your fat over the middle and eat your troubles away.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;">Of course, the alternative is to just eat healthily before the cinema, which will help you to live longer and see more films, although you can't deny that fruit and vegetables are far less satisfying. </span><span style="background-color: white;">This is a dilemma. I feel as though we need to look for inspiration elsewhere... </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/licorice.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/licorice.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img alt="licorice" class="wp-image-32164 size-full alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/licorice.jpg" height="133" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/licorice.jpg" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a><strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">International Gluttony</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">America and the UK are slaves to food, there's no denying it, but perhaps another Western country has cracked the impossible task of combining health and satisfaction in one delicious cinema snack?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The Netherlands apparently eat more licorice than any other place in the world, so it's understandable that they'd eat it in cinemas too, but I hear their version is extremely salty, which is probably not the best for our weakening hearts. Spain enjoys sunflower seeds, which are good for you but gross and Israel eats falafel flavored crisps, which sounds like the opposite of health in every way. VIP audiences in Moscow even partake in a spot of caviar in some deluxe cinemas, but we can't all be lucky enough to eat sloppy fish eggs unfortunately. Hmmmmm, maybe Europe is not the best place to find good cinema snacks after all...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So we turn to Asia, a continent where eating chicken feet and insects is the norm. Chinese audiences love to eat salty plums in cinemas, which just sounds like they've taken something healthy and ruined it needlessly. You might as well just eat salted popcorn, right? In Japan, cinemas sell battered octopus balls and tiny fish baked in salt and soy sauce... with the skeletons still attached! I haven't tried the fish, but I will say that the octopus balls are a billion times better than they sound, although each could possibly be a tiny heart attack wrapped in gooey goodness.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">All of these cinema snacks sound 'interesting', but I've finally found the one which hits the sweet spot, so listen up loyal readers. Come to South Korea, where they serve roasted chestnuts in the majority of cinemas. Both healthy and delicious, these tasty little morsels sure beat the dried squid which is also considered a popular 'treat' over here.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Alternatively, you could just sneak your own food in to the cinema and bring whatever the hell you want. Healthy? Artery destroying? You choose. Personally, I'm a big fan of a marmite and rhubarb milkshake, but to each their own! Just make sure your bags don't get checked at the door. Play it cool and remember: Health may be important, but bad food always makes bad movies better!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Remember to come back in two weeks for another edition of Film School Friday, where I will continue to pawn off faux expert advice on unsuspecting readers who actually trust my... ah shit!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Following a long battle with depression, legendary actor <strong style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Robin Williams</strong> was found dead today. The details are still unclear, but what we do know is that Williams was discovered unconscious inside his Californian home by paramedics who rushed him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Suicide by asphyxiation is suspected, but nothing has been confirmed so far.</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Born in 1951, Williams loved impersonating others as a child and later took this passion to Julliard, which paved the way for a starring role in the sitcom <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Mork & Mindy</em>. By the 1980's, Williams became one of the most popular comedians on the planet, but that didn't stop him from enjoying an incredible career as a serious actor too, one which rivaled even his most successful comic roles.</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Williams partied hard at the height of his success and problems with drugs had a negative impact on his health and personal life over the years, but today, we are here to celebrate the life of a man who touched us all.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span data-mce-style="color: #333333; font-style: normal;" style="font-weight: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The manic energy Williams poured into every role made him mesmerizing to watch, regardless of whether the part was serious or comedic. The ability to make audiences truly laugh or cry is a rare one indeed, but Williams had the phenomenal talent to achieve both with ease, transcending the label comedian to become a legend in the truest sense of the word. Just look at some of the awards he won in his lifetime; Two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actor Guild Awards, five Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Incredible. </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As I write this, a huge number of film roles come to mind, almost too many to list, which just demonstrates the impact that Williams had on us all. As a child, <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Hook</em>, <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Mrs Doubtfire</em> and <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Jumanji</em> captured my imagination, but it was Williams's award-winning role as the Genie in <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Aladdin</em> which blew me away. As I grew older, I began to fall in love with Williams's adult roles too, including <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Good Will Hunting</em>, <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">The Birdcage</em> and <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">One Hour Photo</em>, all of which are impressive showcases of the actors versatility.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Robin Williams was more than a mere actor though. Williams was one of the most beloved performers to ever appear on the silver screen and he will be sorely missed by everyone who ever saw him in one of his countless roles. Sixty-three years does not seem long enough, but Williams left us with a lifetime of incredible performances that we are lucky enough to have enjoyed over the past four decades.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As tragic as it is, let us try to not dwell on the sadness of Williams's passing. Instead, join us as we celebrate Williams's life and listen to him perform the Oscar nominated song 'Friend Like Me' from Disney's <em style="color: inherit; font-weight: inherit;">Aladdin</em>.</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: inherit;">Our thoughts at this time are with Williams's family and friends.</span></div>

<img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to make the perfect movie soundtrack. However, if you just ignored my advice and wrote a Justin Bieber jukebox musical, then I am judging you and I am judging you hard. Saying that though, it could be fun to watch an arrogant douchebag constantly embarrass himself on the big screen... Ok, I know you're thinking that now would be a prime time to insult someone like Shia Labeouf, but I'm not going to do it. I'm better than that... (fingers shaking as he restrains the need to point out anything Labeouf has done in the last ten years).</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyway... don't waste your summer watching arrogant actors make dumb movies. Even if we don't have the long stretched out summer vacation school kids get, working adults still deserve some downtime during the long days and nights. The problem is, it's easy to let the days slip by until before you know it, October has rolled round and your skin is still pastier than that freaky ass guy from Pans Labyrinth who had eyeballs in his hands. Don't worry though guys. We still have August, so make some sangria, grab the suntan lotion and lock the kids in a cupboard as we prepare for today's lesson.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Adventureland-Jesse-Eisenberg.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Adventureland-Jesse-Eisenberg.jpg"><img alt="Adventureland Jesse Eisenberg" class="alignleft wp-image-31928 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Adventureland-Jesse-Eisenberg-300x158.jpg" height="105" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Adventureland-Jesse-Eisenberg-300x158.jpg" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a>Lesson #34 - How To Make The Most Of Your Summer Vacation</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Poor Jesse Eisenberg. In the movie Adventureland, his character planned to tour Europe for summer vacation, but when his funds dried up, the poor bastard was forced to work a summer job at an amusement park AND endure a romance with Kristen Stewart. Luckily, I'm here to help you avoid that nightmarish hell with some expert tips on how to make the most of your summer vacation.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Be Productive</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Working is not productive. Working is soul destroying. Instead, why don't you consider using your time more wisely and make an amateur zombie movie? The kids in Super 8 gave it a go and... well, they did end up fighting off an alien who looked like Julia Roberts without make up, but you can't say that their summer was boring... right? We could also learn a thing or two from the children in Stand By Me, who certainly made the most of their vacation by hiking along the local rail line to find a dead body. Some of you may question whether that's a healthy activity for young boys to partake in, but what else were they going to do in 1959? Read a book? Converse with friends? Spin a hoop down a dirt road? It must have been like the fricking Dark Ages...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><br /></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/graduate-Mrs-Robinson.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/graduate-Mrs-Robinson.jpg"><img alt="graduate Mrs Robinson" class="alignright wp-image-31929 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/graduate-Mrs-Robinson-300x164.jpg" height="109" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/graduate-Mrs-Robinson-300x164.jpg" style="float: right;" width="200" /></a></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Bow Chicka Wow Wow</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Even though we're fortunate these days to have things like smart phones to stave off boredom, movies have taught us that technology is no substitute for certain risque activities... unless you've seen the movie Her of course. You know what I'm saying... Anyway, it's official. Summer is the time for loving. Whether you hook up with an older partner 'Mrs Robinson style' or explore your sexuality through random encounters, summer is the time to do it, because it's not like you're sweaty enough already...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Stay Alive</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">However, none of this information will help you if you're not careful. If you only take one piece of advice from today's lesson, it's that you should try not to die. It may sound obvious, but summer camps WILL be terrorized by hockey mask wearing psychopaths, swimming in the ocean WILL lead to death by shark and quiet remote getaways WILL make you squeal like a pig! Believe what you want, but more people die during summer vacation than in all of the Quentin Tarantino movies COMBINED! And you can't argue with those kind of statistics...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Jaws.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Jaws.jpg"><img alt="Jaws" class="alignleft wp-image-2045 size-medium" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Jaws-300x154.jpg" height="102" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Jaws-300x154.jpg" style="float: left;" width="200" /></a></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So what do you take from this? Do you just stay inside forever avoiding all the summer loving psychopaths or do you throw yourself into life and hope for the best? Two things;</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">First, just do what the kids in Dazed and Confused do and get wasted. It's the safer, healthier option.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Secondly, don't watch Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday. Ever. Just don't do it. I know you'll be tempted because it's a British classic and it has the word 'summer' in the title, but no. I cannot emphasize this enough. If you've gotta risk somewhere dangerous like Camp Crystal Lake then fair play, but under no circumstances should Cliff Richard ever be a part of your summer vacation... unless of course you own one of his calendars and it's the beginning of a new month. Then that makes total sense.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 19px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping by loyal readers. Remember to come back in two weeks time for more film based hilarity... Yes, that's right. Hilarity. Yeah, I said it... Don't question me!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After years of aborted shoots and production worries, it became easy to denounce <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Mad Max: Road Fury</span></em> before any footage was even unveiled, but it turns out we didn't need to worry. The filmmakers finally revealed a three minute trailer at <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Comic Con 2014</span> and somehow defied all expectations, making its appearance one of the most talked about events of the festival.</span></div>

<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Returning to the franchise that made his name, director <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">George Miller</span> has enlisted an incredible cast to bring his vision of post-apocalyptic Australia to life, including <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Tom Hardy</span>, <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Charlize Theron </span>and <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nicholas Hoult </span>in almost unrecognizable roles.</span><br />

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A new viral video has been released to promote <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Jake Gyllenhaal's</span> upcoming crime thriller <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nightcrawler</span></em>, but it is far removed from your typical teaser trailer. The title <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nightcrawler</span> </em>is never mentioned, not even in the name of the clip, which is simply called "Hard Worker Seeking Employment" and the Youtube user name is that of <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Gyllenhaal's</span> character Louis Bloom.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The trailer works as a video resume of sorts, where Bloom appeals to both the audience and characters within the film for work. In a world where audiences are subjected to a new online trailer every ten minutes or so, this unusual approach to marketing <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nightcrawler</span> </em>certainly sets it apart from other movies, but is it effective.</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The first thing you notice is the transformation <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Gyllenhaal</span> underwent to take on the part of Louis Bloom. The actor lost twenty pounds for the role and the effect is immediately disorientating for those used to seeing <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Gyllenhaal</span> as a built and confident young man. Instead, here we see <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Gyllenhaal</span> as a gaunt, uneasy figure bubbling over with a nervous energy that leaves the viewer uncomfortable.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">While we know that <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nightcrawler</span> </em>is about an unemployed man who enters the world of L.A. freelance crime journalism, </span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">there is still much we don't know about the film as of yet. However, this unusual viral video certainly piques the viewers interest, leaving you wanting more. Personally, I think this approach is a bold and exciting move on the part of the studio, but check out the clip below and see what you think.</span></span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What are your thoughts on this teaser video for</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span><em style="color: inherit; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Nightcrawler</span></em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">? <img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to get the perfect beach body. Unfortunately, every time I've ventured to the coast since, all I've seen is a sea of fat wobbling around in search of the nearest ice cream stall. Why the unfortunately shaped refuse to wear clothes in the summer time is beyond me. Clearly, not enough people could get their hands on Captain America's Super Soldier Serum and pack on the muscle. Ah well. My bad.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Seeing all that jelly on the beach stressed me out and reminded me that I myself am not the stringiest of beans, so it's time we relaxed a little with today's advice. Grab your earphones, lie back and chill as we read on for today's lesson.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #33 - How To Make The Perfect Soundtrack </span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Soundtracks are challenging to construct for even the most ardent music lovers. The trick is to somehow choose songs that suit the tone of the film while simultaneously appealing to the masses. Musicals are arguably the hardest to pull off successfully as they live or die by the songs they choose.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<img alt="LionKing" class=" wp-image-31688 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/LionKing.jpg" height="156" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/LionKing.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: left;" width="284" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Grab an 80's Star</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Take Disney for example. After the studio reignited their popularity following a run of groundbreaking movies, the company reached their peak with <i>The Lion King</i>, which became one of the highest grossing animations of all time. A huge part of the movies appeal was its soundtrack, which was co-written by none other than the irritating but undeniably talented Elton John. Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel The Love Tonight...that's the soundtrack of my childhood right there!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Unfortunately for Disney, the bubble burst soon after and as each animation drew in smaller audiences, the House of Mouse resorted to hiring the irritating and ... not talented Phil Collins to helm the soundtrack for <i>Tarzan</i>. I would suggest taking the same route, but with our connections and financial backing, we'd be lucky to get Selena Gomez on board, let alone someone as famous as Phil Collins.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Vanity Project</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What if we appeal to a singer's vanity though? Musicians are notoriously self-obsessed creatures, so if we produce a film that revolves solely around one singer, maybe we could get someone more famous on board. Whitney Houston found huge success - and probably a boat load of crack - with <i>The Bodyguard</i> and Prince's soundtrack to <i>Purple Rain</i> was one of the definitive albums of the 1980's. Movie 'biopics' of this type continued to be hugely popular into the 2000's as critics rallied around modern classics of cinema such as Mariah Carey's <i>Glitter </i>and Britney Spears's <i>Crossroads</i>, not to mention <i>Raise Your Voice</i> starring Hilary Duff...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mariah_Glitter.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mariah_Glitter.jpg"><img alt="Mariah_Glitter" class=" wp-image-31689 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mariah_Glitter.jpg" height="171" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mariah_Glitter.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: right;" width="305" /></a>Oh wait. <span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;">I got so carried away jamming to Loverboy that I forgot <i>Glitter </i>and these other travesties are some of the </span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;">worst films ever made... Isn't it funny when all the characters in the movie have an orgasm every time the star sings a song, like they have the best voice the world has ever seen? </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">West End</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Change of plans. Let's get inventive for our soundtracks and find someone who can both sing AND act in the movie. A novel approach, I know.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Traditional theatrical adaptations such as <i>The Producers</i> and <i>Phantom of the Opera</i> have great soundtracks, but tend to have a very specific fan base i.e. gay theater lovers, and we need to appeal to an even wider audience if we want to make more money with our music. This is why jukebox musicals are the way to go.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mamma_Mia__.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mamma_Mia__.jpg"><img alt="Mamma_Mia__" class=" wp-image-31690 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mamma_Mia__.jpg" height="152" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Mamma_Mia__.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: left;" width="268" /></a><i>Spice World</i> and <i>Mamma Mia</i> both made shed loads of money and no one cared that they were just terrible, terrible films. No, really. You can write any old crap about some sluts daughter trying to find out who her father is as long as you throw some Abba songs into the mix. You can even force Pierce Brosnan to destroy people's happiness with just the power of his voice alone. A jukebox musical like this may not technically create the perfect soundtrack, but it will make you rich and what's more perfect than that?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Alternatively, if you want to do something stupid like retain your artistic integrity, you could just randomly pick records from charity/thrift shops and hope you can somehow make them sound effortlessly cool, Tarantino style. Unfortunately, the fact that you are reading my article instead of bathing in your sauna surrounded by a million hotties instantly makes me doubt your cool credentials, so you're probably better off sticking to the jukebox musical approach. You can't write one based on One Direction though... THEY'RE MINE!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for reading guys and remember to come back in two weeks for another insightful and potentially poignant lesson from the world of films.</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Superheroes are ridiculously popular right now and <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Disney</span> have just had their most successful hit in years with <em style="color: inherit;">Frozen</em>, so it doesn't take a genius to work out that combining the two could be a huge earner at the box office. Lo and behold, <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Walt Disney Animation Studios</span> have finally released the first full length trailer for <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Big Hero 6</span></em>, a <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Marvel</span> superhero adaptation that looks set to repeat the phenomenal success of <em style="color: inherit;">Frozen</em> and <em style="color: inherit;">Wreck-It-Ralph</em>.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
</div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;"></span></em></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><em style="color: inherit;">Big Hero 6</em> follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada as he joins a reluctant team of crime fighters to defend the city of San Fransokyo from evil forces. However, the trailer focuses almost solely on Hamada and his robot companion Baymax, which seems a bizarre choice given that the movie features an ensemble cast akin to the Avengers or X-Men. Of course, any movie hoping to establish a new franchise will introduce itself to audiences via one central protagonist, but it would have been nice to see more of the team as a whole in action.</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's also apparent from the trailer that <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Disney</span> are keen to focus on the cute antics of Baymax to draw in the younger crowds. This makes sense in a way, but the robot was already featured heavily in the teaser trailer released earlier this year, so it's disappointing that <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Disney</span> didn't put their trust in other central characters such as Fred, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Go Go Tamago to appeal to audiences. Presumably, future trailers will showcase the team as a whole and there are four more months left before <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Big Hero 6</span> </em>hits theaters, so we'll certainly gain a more comprehensive overview of the movie soon.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Despite the narrow focus of the trailer, <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Big Hero 6</span> </em>looks like it could be one of the best animated movies of the year. So far, the design is gorgeous, the action looks great and the gags hit the mark every time. The voice cast is also impressive, featuring acclaimed performers such as <span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Maya Rudolph, James Cromwell, and Alan Tudyk</span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">, just to name a few, so there's good reason to get excited about this one.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Check out the trailer below and see if you agree.</span></span></div>

<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's almost here.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fans have been drooling for the chance to finally see <em><span style="font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</span></em> for months and now we're only a few short weeks away from the official release, <span style="font-style: inherit;">Marvel Studios</span> have released their most exciting trailer yet for the film.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgodcfLNYI8aFvzQWk8hQC2r9ss885wopBJdbFp7MNUPMeIbrw_n7nC_-6lER27CCw1gfF1tzzuvPh4qp5bS4lB4nHyFHK9FF54EkeKkaale3SnEVJ5PCpWiNwrnHB4wrc6np3PBeh7rnlH/s1600/guardians-of-the-galaxy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgodcfLNYI8aFvzQWk8hQC2r9ss885wopBJdbFp7MNUPMeIbrw_n7nC_-6lER27CCw1gfF1tzzuvPh4qp5bS4lB4nHyFHK9FF54EkeKkaale3SnEVJ5PCpWiNwrnHB4wrc6np3PBeh7rnlH/s1600/guardians-of-the-galaxy.jpg" height="206" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Set to a retro soundtrack featuring The Runaway's Cherry Bomb, the extended trailer for <em><span style="font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</span></em> is an action packed feast for the eyes which reveals more than any footage has before. From start to finish, hilarious turns from each of the bizarre heroes are interspersed between impressive fight sequences that ensure <em><span style="font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</span></em> will be the biggest hit of the summer and may even become <span style="font-style: inherit;">Marvel's</span> next film to hit the one billion mark.</span><br />
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pretty impressive for a comic book property few had even heard of just a few short years ago.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The highlight of the new trailer is undoubtedly the sequence at the end, which features the whole team discussing their plan of action. Without spoiling any of the footage, I will say that while its obvious <span style="font-style: inherit;">Chris Pratt</span> will become a huge star following his performance as adventurer <span style="font-style: inherit;">Star Lord</span>, its <span style="font-style: inherit;">Bradley Cooper's</span> turn as the CGI gun toting <span style="font-style: inherit;">Rocket Raccoon</span> that will clearly be the breakout role.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What are you waiting for? Check out the trailer below to see "a team so good it's criminal."</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So what do you think? Can <span style="font-style: inherit;">Marvel</span> balance the humor and action successfully? Will <em><span style="font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</span></em> reach the one billion dollar mark? And will 12% of a good plan be enough to save the galaxy? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><em><span style="font-style: inherit;">Guardians of the Galaxy</span></em> is directed by <span style="font-style: inherit;">James Gunn</span>, the man behind the underrated superhero comedy Super and stars a host of talented actors including <span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. <img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to get the perfect haircut, so surely by now, admirers from all around must have surrounded you, begging you to reveal the secret of how you gained your beautiful mane... right? Oh wait, I forgot. Halfway through the last lesson, I gave up on offering advice and suggested a buzz cut or a quick trip down to Sweeney Todd instead. Goddammit! Becoming a movie fiend has given me the attention span of Findng Nemo's Dorey on crack, so today, let's focus on finding another way to look good in the summer time, one which doesn't involve becoming a pie filling.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Unfortunately, it's a sad fact of life that watching movies does not exactly enhance one's figure. Until Hollywood devises a way to give us the perfect abs while devouring a tub of popcorn the size of a small child, it's up to us film fanatics to find a way to keep the weight off. Now, you could buy a fitness DVD or listen to the advice of nutritional experts... PAHAHAHA! Who are we kidding? Obviously, you want advice from someone who actually knows what they're talking about, so gather round my overweight friends, throw away the butter and listen up as we read on for today's lesson.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #32 - How To Get The Perfect Beach Body</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So you don't want to look like the offspring of the Nutty Professor and Bridget Jones in a swimming costume? Well, you came to the right place.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pumping-iron.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pumping-iron.jpg"><img alt="pumping iron" class=" wp-image-31541 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pumping-iron.jpg" height="125" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/pumping-iron.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: left;" width="200" /></a>Pumping Iron</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now I know this may not be to everyone's taste, but I felt obliged to start out with something approaching genuine advice. Go to a gym. Urgh, I hate myself for even saying it, but one surefire way to get the perfect beach body is to pump some iron. Now, I'm not saying you need to go all Schwarzenegger on your ass, but maybe lifting a weight or two wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen. Need inspiration? Watch some awesome training montages a la Rocky and then slo-mo jog your way to the salad bar. I'm assuming that's how Chris Hemsworth bulked up for Thor. Jogging and leaves. Who needs a Sports Science degree anyway?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Sweat It Out</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For many, going to the gym sounds like way more effort than it's worth, so try dancing to lose weight instead. Lord knows Natalie Portman had a blast performing ballet in Black Swan and those boys in Magic Mike sure looked like they were having a good time on stage... Why just perfect your physique in a gym when you could be making it rain at the same time?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The issue here is that the majority of us do not look like Natalie Portman or Channing Tatum when we move our hips. Most of us look a little bit more like this.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/2lju1vCkfmk?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So in other words, awesome. Too awesome in fact. I'd hate to make others feel inadequate displaying the kind of moves that Peter Parker excels in.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Guilt Trip</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Why do gyms display pictures of beautiful men and women showing off their incredible physiques everywhere you look? Is it to inspire us normal folk to pursue greatness? No, it certainly is not. These pictures of god-like beings are purely there to make us feel awful about ourselves, to the point where self-loathing and disgust eventually force us to put the gallon of ice cream down and drag our fat asses to the gym.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">To be fair, it's a pretty effective method. Sure, comparing yourself to those beautiful people may crush your self esteem, but it'll do wonders for your body and that's why we're here, right? Movies can have a similar impact.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Women have it particularly hard in this regard. Almost every actress on screen is the size of a stick insect that has been stretched out to the height of a person. One of the few exceptions that comes to mind is Meryl Streep, but she's so talented that playing an 18 year old anorexic would still be a piece of cake for the Oscar winning actress!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/300.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/300.jpg"><img alt="300" class=" wp-image-31542 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/300.jpg" height="84" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/300.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: right;" width="200" /></a>Men may have fewer role models to make them feel bad about their jelly bellies, but seriously, just five minutes into watching 300, I was torn between signing up to a gym for life or signing up for surgery with Antonio Bandreas's character in The Skin I Live In. And how the hell did Brad Pitt develop those weird hip muscles that cut down to his groin in Fight Club? It's inspiring and depressing, all at once.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If all else fails, just sign up to the experimental Super Soldier government program and become Captain America... Simple as that.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Wow. These lessons just get easier every week. From now on, just skip the first 99% of the lesson and cut to the last sentence or two. Job done.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping by loyal readers. Remember to come back in two weeks for another edition of Film School Friday which will probably be filled with the usual pointless nonsense that spews from my mind... Man, I need to work on my self promotion.</span></div>

And how the hell does <span style="font-style: inherit;">Hardy</span> actually manage to keep on top of all these films? <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Earlier this month, <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Universal Pictures</span> released the first trailer for the brilliantly titled <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Dumb and Dumber To</span> </em>and already, the international trailer has arrived online. <div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A new trailer for <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;"><em style="color: inherit;">Hector and the Search for Happiness</em></span> has just been released, which follows the titular Hector as he travels the world, visiting various countries to find out what makes people smile. Some may find it hard to understand why a successful psychiatrist based in London and married to <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Rosamund Pike</span> (<em style="color: inherit;">Pride & Prejudice, An Education</em>) would be unhappy in the first place, but as they say, the grass is always greener...</span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Based on the novel by <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Francois Lelord</span>, the upcoming drama has been compared to both <em style="color: inherit;">Forrest Gump</em> and <em style="color: inherit;">Eat, Pray, Love</em> for its fable like tone, but hopefully, it won't be the ultimate cheese-fest that this description implies. Pegg normally makes sound choices and with a cast that includes Toni Collete, Stellan Skarsgård, Jean Reno, and Christopher Plummer, one would hope that director <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Peter Chelsom</span> should find it difficult to mess this one up... but perhaps I speak too soon. Chelsom's last directorial effort was <em style="color: inherit;">Hannah Montana: The Movie</em> and prior to that, he helmed the shockingly poor Richard Gere/Jennifer Lopez travesty <em style="color: inherit;">Shall We Dance?</em></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">At times, it can be hard, but let's try our best to ignore Chelsom's past sins and look ahead to a brighter future with the new trailer for <em style="color: inherit;">Hector and the Search for Happiness</em>.</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Will Hector find happiness? Will Rosamund Pike ever stop being beautiful? And will the lady at the end of the trailer ever master saying the word 'happiness' without sounding like a prostitute?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The answers to all these questions and more will be unveiled when <em style="color: inherit;">Hector and the Search for Happiness</em> hits UK cinemas August 15th. Just watch out for ironic uses of the word 'happy' by reviewers if the film doesn't meet their high expectations when August rolls around.</span></div>

<img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday surprised loyal readers with another thrilling end of term quiz that almost crashed the internet because it was <em>that </em>popular! Well, it could have also been caused by that video of a cat performing open heart surgery, but my money is on Film School Friday...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As we approach July, it's time to rock out those beach bodies in search of some summer loving, right? Wait... what do you mean you live on a diet of nothing but hot dogs, natchos and popcorn? God damn you cinemas! Fine. Forget working out. What can we do to improve our appearance that requires minimal effort? Ok... I got it. Stick with me loyal readers and grab the scissors as we read on for today's lesson. </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong></strong></span></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Lesson #31 - How To Get The Perfect Haircut </strong></span><strong style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5em;"> </strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5em;"> </span><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">When it comes to appearance, hair is everything. Bo Derek looked incredible wearing that swimsuit in <em>10</em>, but those braids... my god, those braids... If you'd rather look like Helena Bonham Carter than Jennifer Aniston, by all means, go read something pointless like the news, but those who want the perfect haircut need to stick with this. Trust me. I'll sort you out.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Bathroom Routine</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyone who has ever watched <em>Saturday Night Fever</em> knows the importance of taking your time getting ready before leaving the house. John Travolta made it look effortless with his gyrating hips and million gold chains, but if you only take one tip from his routine, it's that you should never, and I mean NEVER let anyone else touch your hair.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/viCYkduSzaU?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Do you think Tracy Turnblad lets anyone near her bouffant do once the hairspray has been used? Can you imagine Princess Leia letting Han Solo play with her cinnamon buns before they take down the Imperial Forces? On second thoughts, let's just pretend I didn't say that...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<img alt="Little Mermaid dinglehopper" class="wp-image-31417 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Little-Mermaid-dinglehopper.jpg" height="133" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Little-Mermaid-dinglehopper.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: right;" width="200" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Keep It Cheap</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">One of the most difficult things about maintaining a perfect hairstyle is paying out for all the products. First world problems eh? There are definitely ways around this though. Take Ariel for example. The ever resourceful mermaid has some of the most beautiful hair ever seen in a Disney movie, but hair mousse isn't exactly dime a dozen under the sea, down where it's wetter, down where it's better, take it from.... oh god. It happened again. I'm sorry.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyway, lucky for Ariel, humans invented an incredible styling device known as a 'dinglehopper', or what is sometimes known as a fork to the uneducated. I'm sure you've seen them around. Now don't look down your nose at using a 'dinglehopper'. It sure beats what Cameron Diaz used to style her hair in <em>There's Something About Mary</em>...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Save Time</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">You know what? That all sounds like way too much effort. Forget the perfect haircut. Forget the point of this entire article. Just go bald. Demi Moore pulled it off in<em> G.I Jane</em> and Natalie Portman looked great with a buzzcut in<em> V For Vendetta</em>, so why can't you? <span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;">It'll be a hell of a lot easier to manage in the mornings and nits will <em>finally</em> be a thing of the past.</span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<img alt="les miserables still 300512" class=" wp-image-31419 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Les_miserables_anne_hathaway_fantine_on_my_own.jpg" height="107" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Les_miserables_anne_hathaway_fantine_on_my_own.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: left;" width="200" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Cutting all your hair off is also a nice little earner. Just ask Fantine in <em>Les Miserables</em>. Admittedly, she also had to sell her teeth and become a prostitute, but hell, if it wins you an Oscar, count me in!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Let's face it though. Some people just look terrible bald. No one wants Damian from <em>Mean Girls</em> to shout "Oh my God, Danny Devito! I love your work!" as you run crying from the bathroom, right? If you really have no other alternative, then I suggest that perhaps you just give up completely. And I'm not just talking about finding good hair. Head on down to Fleet Street and pop into Sweeney Todd's for a haircut you won't forget. That'll stop your complaining. Job done.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Remember to come back in two weeks for another edition of Film School Friday, where I will continue to educate and advise you in the least useful ways possible...</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The first poster for Universal's upcoming period horror <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Dracula Untold</span></em> has officially been released.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In the promo picture, <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Luke Evans</span> (<em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug</span></em>) broods over a gothic landscape, brandishing a sword as his cape transforms into a group of bats. The image is certainly an effective one, but comparisons with <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Batman</span> </em>and even <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Van Helsing</span></em> spring instantly to mind, hinting that originality may not be a key concern of Universal's at this stage. Hmm...</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">Universal have tried to recapture the success of their classic horror line for some time now, but aside from <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">T</span><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">he</span> <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Mummy</span> </em>franchise, the critical reception of movies like <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">The Wolfman</span></em> has been poor to say the least. </span>The story of Prince Vlad has been told countless times before, so it will take a special talent to elevate <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Dracula Untold</span> </em>above mediocre fare like <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Dracula 2000</span></em>.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Enter first time director <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Gary Shore</span></em>, who will be combining historical fact with elements of the original Bram Stoker novel to retell the origin of Dracula for modern audiences. Hmm...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Call me jaded, but if Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins couldn't save <em style="color: inherit;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">The Wolfman</span></em> from becoming a camp and poorly written travesty, then I have little hope for less experienced talent like Shore and Evans. You never know though. There's always the chance that <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;"><em style="color: inherit;">Dracula Untold</em></span> could defy the odds and just not suck... Yeah. I went there.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<em style="color: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">Sarah Gadon and Dominic Cooper also star in <span style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit;">Dracula Untold</span>, which is currently heading towards a cinema near you on October 17th, assuming the release date isn't pushed back a </span>fourth<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"> time.</span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="color: inherit; font-style: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"> </span> </span></em></div>

<img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to build a cinematic universe. It's a lot like Lego really. Once you've finished building something and it looks like crap, just smash it all down again and try again using the same pieces a couple of years later. God knows it worked for Spider-Man...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As we reach our 30th edition here at Film School Friday, I thought it was about time all you loyal readers (hi again mum) are rewarded with a prize, something that you will take away and cherish for the rest of your days here on earth... The title was probably a give away for those of you who can read, but yes, that's right guys. It's time for... ANOTHER END OF TERM QUIZ!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Me -</strong> "Yeah seriously. That's how much I love you guys!"</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Loyal Reader -</strong> "I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and I'm beyond excited to see how much knowledge I can remember from the previous fourteen editions of Film School Friday."</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Me -</strong> "That's awesome, but wait. There's more..."</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Loyal Reader - </strong>"Gasp!"</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Me -</strong> "For every question you answer correctly, I will spare your life."</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Loyal Reader -</strong> "Wow... errr...."</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Me -</strong> "Wait, come back! Everyone, sharpen your pencils, pick holes in your rubbers and get your paper airplanes ready for today's lesson."</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<img alt="Tina-in-Mean-Girls-tina-fey-7206895-500-375" class=" wp-image-31293 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Tina-in-Mean-Girls-tina-fey-7206895-500-375.jpg" height="150" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Tina-in-Mean-Girls-tina-fey-7206895-500-375.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: left;" width="200" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #30 - End of Term Quiz</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The quiz will work like this; Each question will relate to a previous edition of Film School Friday and will have three possible answers. For each correct answer you give, you will receive one point. The answers will be revealed at the end of the quiz. Once you've tallied your score, please tell me what you got in the comment section below. Now remember, participation is mandatory... but prizes are not. Lucky for you then that the winner will instead receive the respect and adoration of my million plus readership.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now don't think of this as a test to check whether any of you have actually bothered to read any of the previous articles in this feature. Think of it as a way to prove your superior knowledge over your fellow film lovers and revel in your own brilliance. Cheating will result in a lifetime ban from Film School Friday Quizzes, so think very carefully before you do so. I'm not saying I have surveillance on each and every one of you but I was one of the Spy Kids growing up so...</span></div>

<img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to become a scene stealing extra because... well we have more than enough doctors around these days and us film freaks need something to fund our netflix accounts. Problem is, no matter how hard you try to steal the spotlight, most directors will cut you out in the editing suite. I know. It's ridiculous. Film makers can go mad with power yet half the time, they can't even do their jobs properly.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Take a look at the mammoth blockbusters coming out these days. Every studio seems desperate to build their own cinematic universe so they can keep churning out ready made sequels for the masses that require little or no introduction. Why waste time on original thought when you can just recycle the same characters and settings over and over? Am I right guys??? There's plenty of money to be made if you can build your very own cinematic universe; just ask Marvel! So let's forget our dream of becoming extras, purge all creativity from our minds and grab a directors chair as we read on for today's lesson.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #29 - How To Build a Cinematic Universe </span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Let's look at Marvel Studios for example. Trust me, they know how to sort their shit out.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Avengers.jpeg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Avengers.jpeg"><img alt="Avengers" class=" wp-image-21226 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Avengers.jpeg" height="111" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Avengers.jpeg" style="border: 0px; float: left;" width="200" /></a>Excelsior!</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">With each subsequent phase, Marvel have become more and more successful, dominating the movie industry with comic book adaptations based on their most iconic characters. What's particularly impressive is that they managed all of this without their big guns, Spider-Man and the X-Men, both of whom belong to Fox. Recently, the studio revealed that they have a long-term release plan that stretches all the way to 2028, which is actually pretty awesome, assuming people will still give a crap about superhero films by then. Rival comic publisher DC have finally jumped on the bandwagon in a bid to create their own cinematic universe, but will it work?</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">While Marvel took small steps, gradually establishing their universe by introducing new characters in smaller roles, DC are taking a less subtle approach, throwing every character they have along with the kitchen sink into their next two releases. <em>Batman VS Superman</em> will feature Wonder Woman and Cyborg in supporting roles, alongside a brand new Batman played by Ben Affleck. The Justice League movie will then star the other big players, presumably including Flash and Green Lantern alongside other characters who are yet to be confirmed. Now, I'm not saying the casual movie goer is stupid, (although the popularity of A Haunted House is damning evidence to the contrary), but good characterisation requires a lot of time, which may be lost in the huge ensemble casts of these upcoming DC releases. Also, are we really going to allow Zack Snyder to build the entire cinematic DC universe? The man who directed a film called <em>The Owls of Ga'Hoole</em>?</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Avatar-001.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Avatar-001.jpg"><img alt="Avatar-001" class=" wp-image-24121 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Avatar-001.jpg" height="120" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Avatar-001.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: right;" width="200" /></a>King Cameron</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">James Cameron has taken a slightly different approach to craft the <em>Avatar</em> universe. Instead of waiting 39 years between each release like he usually would, Cameron has decided to make <em>Avatar 2, 3 </em>AND<em> 4</em> all at once. Admittedly, <em>Avatar</em> did become the most successful movie of all time, so if you're going to take that kind of gamble on any franchise, this is probably the one to go for. Saying that though, <em>Avatar 2</em> could still end up being a pile of crap and if that is the case, Cameron will have zero time to adjust the subsequent releases. If they're all terrible, each one will just be churned out anyway and that didn't work out too well for <em>The Pirates of the Caribbean</em> franchise. It also didn't help that Johnny Depp lost the ability to be good in anything, but that's another Film School Friday lesson in itself. Don't rush me guys! That douche bag will get his time, don't you worry...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Keep It Simple...</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In order to create a convincing cinematic universe, detail is key. Even the little things only the most hardcore geeks will notice must be considered because if you make ANY errors, there will be hell to pay. "How come that guy is wearing a rolex even though he's a flibbity flip flop from the planet Vanagoo!??!"</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">However, while the details are extremely important, it's also worth bearing in mind that sometimes, there is such a thing as being too complicated, as this will alienate the more casual fans. <em>Star Trek</em> has always had a reputation for being hard to comprehend if you don't put the effort in from the beginning and now the new <em>Star Trek</em> movies have messed around with the continuity so much that it's anyone's guess if the TV series even counts any more.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/star_wars_revenge_of_the_sith_036081.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/star_wars_revenge_of_the_sith_036081.jpg"><img alt="star_wars_revenge_of_the_sith_03608" class=" wp-image-6117 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/star_wars_revenge_of_the_sith_036081.jpg" height="84" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/star_wars_revenge_of_the_sith_036081.jpg" style="border: 0px; float: left;" width="200" /></a>...But Not Too Simple</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On the flip side, the <em>Star Wars</em> franchise tried to keep things accessible by simplifying the movie prequels to a child's level of understanding, while still retaining the various alien species and political undertones. That's the real reason everyone hated The Phantom Menace so much... not because there was so much hype, it was poorly written and Jar Jar Binks didn't die a violent death. No, no, no. It was definitely the simplification that did it.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In other words, you're screwed either way! Building a cinematic universe is even harder work than building the pyramids, but the Ancient Egyptians managed it and all they had to work with was alien space ships and stargates so if they can do it...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Remember to come back in two weeks for another edition of Film School Friday, where we will be celebrating our 30th lesson with lots of cake and ice cream. Want some? GET YOUR OWN!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Women worldwide suffered Post-Traumatic Gosling Syndrome (PTGS) when the charming young actor who stole audiences hearts in <i>Drive </i>and <i>Blue Valentine</i> announced he would be taking a break from acting... to concentrate on directing. <img alt="film_school" class="aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/film_school.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last time, Film School Friday taught loyal readers how to make an awesome sequel. Hopefully, the makers of the 'critically lauded' movie <em>Zombeavers</em> will have read the article and will be implementing my advice at every step while they begin work on the inevitable sequel. I'm pretty sure zombie beavers are going to be huge this year, so I'll just wait by my front door, staring longingly at my letterbox for the cheque which will be on it's way in no time at all...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Once I receive my cheque, I'm sure I'll no longer have to work full-time, so goodbye teaching and hello to a life of endless chicken binging and netflix marathons... Living the dream right? Obviously yes, but even that could get boring eventually, so I may work part-time occasionally, just to distract myself from the copious amounts of chicken lining my stomach.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So what part-time job requires zero talent and effort, but still sounds pretty awesome if you're a movie fan? I've got it! Get ready to practice your smize, wave those arms around and generally be an attention seeking asshole as you read on for today's lesson.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lesson #28 - How To Become A Scene Stealing Extra</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The life of an extra can be a beautiful thing. Finally, you're up there on the big screen, but you don't have to memorize reams of dialogue and the paparazzi are too busy with the 'talent' to bother you. Saying that though, you won't get anywhere if you just fade into the background like you're supposed to. The key to infamy is to slyly steal a scene from the lead, so you become a viral internet star and here's how you do it.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Crotch Attack</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What do you do if you want be forever remembered in a film, but have zero dialogue and only a few short seconds to take your moment to shine? One boy in <em>Back To The Future III</em> thought it would be a good idea to point at his groin in what many consider one of the creepiest moments ever committed to celluloid. The official explanation is that the kid was actually signalling that his bladder was full and so needed to go to the toilet, but we know better than that... SCENE-STEALER!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/teen_wolf.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/teen_wolf.jpg"><img alt="teen_wolf" class=" wp-image-30861 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/teen_wolf.jpg" height="243" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/teen_wolf.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: left;" width="266" /></a>Think that's impressive? At the end of the 1980's movie <em>Teen Wolf</em>, when Michael J Fox is kissing his girlfriends on the bleachers, eagle-eyed movie lovers have spotted someone standing near the loving couple who appears to be flashing their junk for no apparent reason. Many assumed the flasher was a man at the time, because, you know, men are gross, but actually, a wide-screen version of the film revealed that this attention seeking extra is in fact a woman. While no naked flesh is on display, it seems strange that no one told this woman that her trousers were zipped ALL the way down and it's even stranger that she herself didn't even notice, unless of course she's a deliberate SCENE-STEALER! Or maybe she just has a really bad case of muffin top. Either way, that girl got her moment of fame, so good on her I say!</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ham It Up</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The lead actors and actresses of any film will always try their hardest to deliver convincing and heartfelt scenes, unless of course said film is part of the <em>Twilight</em> franchise, so how can us extras compete with that? Just do the exact opposite. By hamming up our tiny moments and occasional throw away line, we will forever be immortalized on film. Just ask the infamous stormtrooper who banged his head on the door in <em>Star Wars: A New Hope</em>. You can't tell me that was an accident... SCENE-STEALER! And what about this guy in Jaws? God knows how Spielberg let this one slide, but good on you random civilian!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/5ZJ83cPTzWs?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></em></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">"A whaaaaaaaat?"</span></em></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ruin Everything</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Finally, if you really want to be remembered as a scene stealing extra, there's nothing movie lovers hate more than spoilers<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;">, so once you know the general direction of your scene, feel free to give away as much of the plot as you can physically get away with! In <em>Star Trek: Generations</em>, right after the heroes defeat the Klingons, one extra does a little fist pump in the air seconds before Data does his own victory move. Once audiences notice you ruin something like that, that's all they'll ever see from that moment on. You're forever etched in their memory, immortalized like a god. A GOD I TELL YOU! MUHAHAHAHA... </span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/north-by-northwest21-ears-circled.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/north-by-northwest21-ears-circled.jpg"><img alt="north by northwest21-ears-circled" class=" wp-image-30862 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/north-by-northwest21-ears-circled.jpg" height="195" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/north-by-northwest21-ears-circled.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: right;" width="345" /></a>Anyway, if you work really hard to spoil a scene for the movie loving fans, you may even one day be as awesome as this kid from <em>North by Northwest</em>. No, not the one at the back. The one with the giant red circle around his head. So what did this extra do that was so impressive? Well, if you look closely, you may notice that the boy has put his fingers in his ears, but oh look! The gun hasn't even been fired yet! Little bastard. They say never work with children, but I think that's fine as long as they're not hellbent on become SCENE STEALERS! You've got to give props to the little terror though. Either, he was so sneaky that Hitchcock didn't notice him while in the editing suite or maybe the famous director was so impressed that he chose to keep the boy in there as a homage to all the awesome scene stealing extras everywhere. Good work little kid. We salute you!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So there you have it guys. Bored of working as a doctor or something lame like that? Become a scene stealing extra. You'll probably have a lot of time on your hands though, so make sure you come back in two weeks for the next edition of Film School Friday. It's a date!</span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">

Body swapping is probably the best way to go here, but just make sure you don't accidentally swap with a child or you'll have to go through puberty all over again, knowing exactly what to expect this time...</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There is something to be said for seeing the world through the eyes of a child though. Even the lamest blockbusters had a certain magic to them which enchanted my tiny 9 year old mind. How else can I explain my obsession with Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin? It sure as hell wasn't anything to do with the acting, writing or directing! Let's help kids of the future escape these banal sequels here in today's lesson so grab your laptop, smash open that piggy bank and pull up your director's chair.</span></span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Sequels are a tricky thing. After a film makes it big, money hungry producers obviously want to capitalize on their movies success, but many a studio has fallen foul of this trick, rushing out turkeys like it's goddamn Thanksgiving. Sure, I have zero experience in the film making business, but I've seen a film or two so I'm pretty sure that I'm more than qualified to tell these Hollywood bigwigs how to get things right. Blockbuster season is coming up and I'm fed up of watching The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise continue to melt the brains of every cinema loving person on the planet, so let's teach movie makers a thing or two with today's lesson.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Cast Shuffle</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">First up, don't recast unless you absolutely have to. It's inevitable that some franchises may lose principal actors due to conflicting schedules or financial issues, but audiences invest a lot in these characters and recasting can be a jarring experience for many. The Hulk has had more face changes than Joan Rivers and despite being in love with Julianne Moore, even the biggest fan boys would be hard pressed to convincingly argue that she was better than Jodie Foster in the role of Clarice Starling in Hannibal. The only exception to this recasting rule that comes instantly to mind is Transformers: Age of Extinction. No one has even seen the movie yet, but I can already guarantee that replacing Shia 'where are my meds?' Labeouf is definitely going to improve things, upping the film's quality from mindless CGI trash to... well... mindless CGI trash with Mark Wahlberg. That's something right?</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Babe-Pig-In-The-City.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Babe-Pig-In-The-City.jpg"><img alt="BABE: PIG IN THE CITY" class=" wp-image-30718 alignright" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Babe-Pig-In-The-City.jpg" height="216" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Babe-Pig-In-The-City.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: right;" width="288" /></a>Black is the New Black</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">How many times have press agents described an upcoming sequel as 'darker' than before? It's become a running gag among film fans yet it still keeps happening! The Harry Potter films became darker and darker to the point where I could no longer see what was happening on screen and the latest Star Trek movie had to call itself Star Trek: Into Darkness just in case anyone misunderstood and thought it was going to be an outright comedy. However, not all sequels take this well trodden route. The Evil Dead films became progressively lighter in tone and Aliens became the light-hearted melodrama it always wanted to be with those cuddly little xenomorphs. Word of warning for fans of family films; Just don't watch Babe: Pig In The City with the lights off. That s**t is messed up!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Too Many Cooks...</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There's always a temptation to throw more characters into the mix, but some of us movie lovers are just simple folk who don't have time to figure out the back stories and motivations for 10 or more characters in one go. Best stick to the original cast and just throw one or two newbies into the mix to keep things fresh. <span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;">Spider-Man 3 is the obvious example of how to mess this up; Peter Parker, Green Goblin, Sandman, Venom, Mary-Jane, Gwen Stacy, J. Jonah Jameson, the kitchen sink...</span><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.5em;" style="line-height: 1.5em;"> there's just far too much going on and you can almost hear the producers rubbing their clawed hands together as they whisper satanic mumblings into Sam Raimi's ear. Trust me. That's a thing now.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><a data-mce-href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Hangover-Part-2-Movie.jpg" href="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Hangover-Part-2-Movie.jpg"><img alt="Hangover Part 2 Movie" class=" wp-image-30719 alignleft" data-mce-src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Hangover-Part-2-Movie.jpg" height="180" src="http://manilovefilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Hangover-Part-2-Movie.jpg" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; float: left;" width="317" /></a>The Memory Game</span></strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I could keep going for days here, but you all have lives and I have more movies to watch in a darkened room with only a bowl of popcorn for company and ...errrr where was I? Ah yes. The final and perhaps most key point of all when making a sequel is to resist temptation and not just rehash the first movie all over again. It's lazy and I will not stand for it. Many cash grabbing producers think that they need to rush out sequels in order to capitalize on interest from the first film, but what they need to remember is that cinema-goers actually have something called a memory. It's useful because it allows us to remember what happened in the first movie and it also helps us realize when lazy screen-writers duplicate the plot of the first movie a la The Hangover franchise. Memory also helps us to remember if a sequel has tried to dupe us with its inferior quality so that we swear off a franchise forever. Memory guys... Look it up. It will make you more money in the long run!</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Unfortunately, producers will never read this lesson and so once again, this summer we will be subjected to an almost limitless amount of crappy movie sequels that never do the first film justice. Call me a pessimist if you will, but that's just the name of the game. Pray to your movie gods now and maybe, just maybe, Avengers 2 will end up being fricking awesome. Saying that though, the new Captain America movie is actually a million times better than the original, so I guess there's still some hope. I would apologize for the numerous comic book movie references but... I don't want to. They're great and you need to get on board.</span></div>
<div style="color: #333333; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.3em;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks again loyal readers! Remember to come back in two weeks time for another edition of Film School Friday, where we will be learning more pointless, but hopefully entertaining lessons from the world of cinema. Until next time peeps!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Things may have seemed a bit quiet on the </span><em style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> front recently, but James Cameron is not one to just sit on his laurels and do nothing. Lucky sci-fi fans got the latest scoop on the </span><em style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> franchise from Cameron during an AMA session (Ask Me Anything Q&A) on Reddit last Saturday.</span></div>

<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The acclaimed director finally revealed that the scripts for <em style="font-weight: inherit;">Avatar 2, 3 AND 4</em> are set to be completed within the next six weeks. For the first film, Cameron worked on the script by himself, but he's since enlisted the help of screenwriters J<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">osh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Shane Salerno on the upcoming sequels, presumably to lessen the manic load. </span></span><br />
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><em style="font-weight: inherit;">“The second, third and fourth films all go into production simultaneously,” </em><span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;">he wrote.</span><em style="font-weight: inherit;"> “They’re essentially all in pre-production now because we are designing creatures, settings and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks.”</em></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Personally, I feel it may have made more sense to stagger the production of the three sequels so each could be given the treatment they deserve, but who am I to argue with the man's game plan? Cameron has done pretty well for himself so far in the box office stakes.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Cameron also discussed the future of 3D, a format that has had its share of ups and downs since <em style="font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em> first showed the mediums true potential in 2010. </span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><em style="font-weight: inherit;">“I believe all movies should be made in 3D, forever, but the projection needs to be better and brighter,” </em>he wrote.<em style="font-weight: inherit;"> “I want people to see in the movie theaters what I am seeing in my perfectly calibrated screening room and people aren’t seeing that. Larger formats. I’d love to see screens get bigger.</em></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Speaking of bigger, Cameron's favorite muscle bound actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had previously been rumored to appear as a villain in the next <em style="font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em> movie, but unfortunately, this was shot down during the AMA session.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<em data-mce-style="line-height: 1.6em;" style="font-weight: inherit; line-height: 1.6em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">"As of right now, he and I have not discussed it, and I don't see a role as the scripts are coming together that would be appropriate for him, so I would say probably not."</span></em></div>
<div style="line-height: 20.799999237060547px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The first <em style="font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em> grossed $2.8 billion worldwide and won Oscars for cinematography, visual effects and art direction back in 2010. Cameron is definitely not going to rush these films out as he knows exactly how much is riding on their success so things are looking promising at the moment, although it's hard to tell whether they will live up to the success of the original. For those who haven't seen <em style="font-weight: inherit;">Avatar</em> in a while or just for anyone who was a little more skeptical about its message, enjoy this 'Honest Trailer' of the first movie.</span></div>
