It's two days before Christmas. There's presents to be wrapped, food to be prepared, friends to catch up with... so now's the perfect time to dive into another film blogathon! The Drama Lama has an awesome Alphabet Movie Meme going on right now where each blogger has to answer 26 film related questions which start with every letter in the alphabet. To read more entries, click here, but make sure you stick around to read my answers first. You're formally obliged now.
Blogathons are awesome. They're a great way for film bloggers to stumble upon sites that they may not have come across before and they're always fun to tackle. Lucky for me then, that I recently discovered a brand new blogathon titled 'Breaking Emotions' on the Mettel Ray site. Each week, bloggers are asked to pick three movie scenes that best sum up a particular emotion for them. Last week, the two emotions chosen were 'smiles' and 'thrills'. Today, for the last week, we're tackling 'hate' and 'love'. To find out more about the blogathon, click here and to see which scenes I've chosen, read on after the jump. Go on. You know you wanna!

Over at www.myfilmviews.com, a new event has begun, titled the 5 Obstructions Blogathon. Each month a challenge is set which is designed to test writers in ways they may not have encountered before. In June, I completed obstruction 1 by writing a negative review for a film I love; 'Avengers Assemble'. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to complete Obstruction 2 but I'm back this month, ready to have a go at Obstruction 3.
Today I'm going to review James Wan's latest horror 'The Conjuring', but by only using words originally written in other blog reviews. It's going to be tough but then that's the whole point! To read more about the blogathon, click here and to find the original reviews which I sourced from, scroll to the bottom of this post after the jump.
When I first saw the idea for a Dynamic Duos themed blogathon on Classic Movie Hub Blog, a number of classic pairings immediately came to mind. Batman and Robin? Too obvious. The two killers from Hitchcocks' classic 'Rope'? Already been done to death. In the end, I realised that I needed to choose a duo who no one else would ever think of.
Over at www.myfilmviews.com, a new event has begun, titled the 5 Obstructions Blogathon. The theme of the first month is to write either a positive review of a movie you don't like or a negative review of a movie you love. After much deliberation, I've decided to write a negative review for my favourite film of 2012, 'Avengers Assemble'. It's going to be tough but then that's the whole point!
