Oscars 2013: Best Supporting Actor, Who Should Win?

This years Best Supporting Actor category is, well very boring this year. All the wonderful men who are nominated are previous winners, and Christoph Waltz's win at the Globes has opened the door for anyone to win. But who could it be? Who can add another Oscar to their awards collection this year?

And the nomations are...

Alan Arkin in "Argo"

Robert De Niro in "Silver Linings Playbook"

Philip Seymour Hoffman in "The Master"

Tommy Lee Jones in "Lincoln"

Christoph Waltz in "Django Unchained"

Who will win? Tommy Lee Jones in "Lincoln"

This year could really go either way, it's anyones game so making a prediction for the winner is tough. With this in mind, I think I'll go with Tommy Lee Jones because I think this is going to be Lincoln's year.

Who should win? Philip Seymour Hoffman in "The Master"

He's just such a bloody good actor, I don't think I've ever seen him in a film which he hasn't been brilliant in it. The Master was somewhat of a critical disappointment, failing to get a Best Picture nomination but this is the one category which I think the film should win for Hoffman's standout performance.

Who should have been nominated? Micheal Fassbender in "Prometheus"

The hype surrounding the release of Prometheus was so high that it was bound to disappoint some people and many were. Through all the criticism about plot and characters, one thing the critics all agreed on was Fassbender's performance which was brilliant and should be rewarded with a nomination.

What do think of the choices I've made? Do you agree wholeheartedly or do you disagree angrily? Feel free to let me know, comment, like, share and follow, thanks.
