Anthony and Joe Russo Return To Direct Captain America 3...Already!

Marvel Studios must be feeling seriously confident right now. The first instalment of the Captain America franchise performed well, but is often considered to be one of the weaker films Marvel released in the past decade. However, Captain America: The Winter Soldier has just been screened for the media and the initial reactions are overwhelmingly positive.

In light of this news, Marvel have officially hired the movies directors to return for the Star Spangled Avengers third outing. Brothers Anthony and Joe Russo are fairly new to the blockbuster game, previously winning an Emmy for their work on TV's Arrested Development, but if The Winter Soldier is as good as people say, then this pair are definitely ones to watch in the future.

Scriptwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are also returning for the third instalment, which is currently unnamed but is likely to feature a colon of some sort in the title. Along with Joss Whedon, the Russo brothers are the only directors locked to return to the cinematic Marvel Universe for Phase 3, which just goes to show how much confidence the producers have in their ability.

What do you guys think? Is it too soon to announce news on Captain America 3 before number 2 is even released? Are Anthony and Joe Russo the right men for the job? And what will be the title of Captain America 3? My money is on The Rise of Hydra, Civil War or even The Death of Captain America. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits UK theatres 28th March 2014.
