MTV VMA 2012. Best Pop Video: Who should win?

With only six days left until the VMA ceremony, we've checked best female and best male off our list. Today sees us taking a look at those nominated in the category for best pop video, an award that only started in 1999 when good old Ricky Martin picked up the award for 'Livin' la vido loca' and has been won three times by Britney Spears over the years, thats more then any other artist. So lets have a gander shall we?

Best Pop Video, here are the nominations:

  • Justin Bieber - 'Boyfriend'.

  • Fun. ft Janelle Monae - 'We Are Young.'

  • Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa - 'Payphone.'

  • One Direction - 'What makes you beautiful.'

  • Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris - 'We found love.

Who will win: One Direction - 'What makes you beautiful.'

This was a very close call and even now i'm still not too sure, Justin Bieber or Justin Bieber to the power of five. Well I think One Direction have the edge here, with a great video, brimming with their youthful energy. Reminds me of a classic early 2000's pop video.

Who should win: Fun ft. Janelle Monae - 'We Are Young.'

This song has become a modren day anthem for a new generation of pop lovers, with a video that, like the band, is quite literally fun. Featuring an under used Janelle Monae, this slow moition video shows us the band perform in a small gig that gets a little out of hand.

Who should have been nominated: Big Bang - 'fantasic baby.'
Camp, over the top with a dance sequnce, random owl and the longest hair ever seen, K-Pop's Big Bang is exactly what a pop video should be, absolute nonsensical fun. It's also a pretty good song as well, check it out.

What do you think? Agree or disagree? Or have I forgotten someone who should have been nominated?

Plus, share, follow and comment and be sure to come back tomorrow for Best Rock video.
