Glee - Songs That Finn and Sam Should Sing and Songs They Should Never Have Sung

10 days left and counting! Yesterday, we looked at Kurt and Santana, two of my favourite Glee characters, discussing what songs they should be singing in the upcoming season and what songs they should never have sung in the first place. We're now on the fourth poster in this two week countdown and this one features two of the boys, Finn and Sam.

Finn Hudson:

Should sing; Only Love by Ben Howard

Finn is regularly given love songs to share with Rachel Berry but they're often cheesy or dated. This recent hit by Ben Howard is a beautiful and understated song that would suit Corey Monteith's voice and makes a change from the usual 80s rock ballad that keeps getting thrown at him.

Should never have sung; You're Having My Baby by Paul Anka

This was just horrendous. Back when Finn thought he was the father of Quinn's baby, Kurt gave him the appalling idea of revealing his paternity to Quinn's parents through song. This was done during an awkward dinner, where Finn actually got a stereo out to sing this awful awful song. Seriously. Who does that?

Sam Evans:

Should sing; A-Team by Ed Sheeran

Sam has been given some ok songs in the past but I'd like to hear some more emotional depth in his character, to round his personality out more for the fourth season. This song was a huge hit for Ed Sheeran and the darker lyrics of the song would suit Sam's background with the homelessness and everything. This would be great, trust me, and if you're not sure, then click below.

Should never have sung; Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith

During the episode that this song was included in, Kurt showed his distaste of Sam's choice and I would have to agree. When I looked this song up, I was shocked to believe that it was actually real and had not just been made up on the spot by Chord Overstreet! It's just bizarre. Check it out to make your own mind up.

Keep coming back for daily updates in the countdown to Glee season 4 to see if you agree with the choices I make. And don't forget to tell me what you think too! Subscribe, google plus it, etc. 10 days to go!
